Tony received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Forest Management from UW-Stevens Point in 1990. He worked for a logging company in Wisconsin operating chainsaw, cable and grapple skidders, feller buncher and a slasher until 1992. Tony then became a Logging Safety Trainer with the Forest Industry Safety and Training Alliance, Inc. (FISTA) and work with Soren Eriksson becoming a Game of Logging™ instructor.
In 1995 he went to Menominee Tribal Enterprises (MTE) as a Forester/Harvest Safety Officer. On the Menominee, Tony focused on developing the logger-training program. He became involved with developing logging and employment contracts, and dealt with worker’s compensation and unemployment issues. Other responsibilities included timber harvest administration forester, forest development and site preparation supervisor, wildland fire fighter, C-certified faller, and a permanent member of the MTE Safety Committee. In April of 2002, Tony returned to FISTA part-time as a Logging Safety Trainer, and in August of 2004 came to Fox Valley Technical College as the Forestry and Outdoor Recreation Instructor.
